Phishing Awareness and College Communications
The College of Intensive Care Medicine (CICM) is committed to protecting the security of our members, staff and contractors. Please be aware of phishing attempts and fraudulent emails.
All genuine communications from CICM will only ever come from our official domains:
- @cicm.org.au
- @cicm.org.nz
- @cicm.au
CICM will never request payment or bank details via email. All invoices and receipts are issued securely through the authenticated College portal. Where the request of funds is to be transferred, authorised 3rd party service EFTSure will be engaged to securely manage the authenticity of the transfer of funds.
Protecting yourself:
- Be cautious of emails requesting urgent action, money transfers, or login details
- Check the sender's email address, ensuring what is within the angled brackets matches or aligns with the sender's name
- Access the CICM portal directly by typing the URL into your browser, rather than clicking on email links
