Curriculum renewal EOI
As part of the curriculum renewal project, we seek expressions of interest from trainees and Fellows to join our working groups to support a comprehensive review and update of the T30 and T36 training documents.
No previous experience in education, curriculum design or specific expertise in the CanMEDS domain topics is required and anyone interested is welcome. We hope to establish groups with a variety of perspectives and experiences.
This is a great opportunity to be actively involved in the design of the curriculum content and support the implementation of meaningful improvements.
Process for the curriculum review
The CICM training program is organised according to the CanMEDS framework with each role/ domain being reviewed and developed by a working group independently.
Working groups which have commenced and require additional members:
- Collaborator Domain
- Medical Expert Domain
- Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health
- Māori and Pasifika Health
Working groups requiring support in the future:
- Scholar (from July 2024)
- Leader/Manager (from July 2024)
- Health Advocate (from January 2025)
- Professional (from March 2025)
What is involved?
Each working group will aim to run monthly online meetings (approx. 1 hour) to discuss learning outcomes, activities and assessments required for each domain. Additional supporting materials and working drafts may require review before or in between meetings (1 - 2 hours per month).
If you would like to participate in one or more working group(s), please register your interest by 25 April 2025 by following the link below.
