Formal Project FAQs
The panel consists of Fellows who assess projects on a voluntary basis in addition to their normal hospital / teaching commitments. Please allow at least 6 weeks for review. This period may be longer if there are any issues with the submission.
If a project does not meet the minimum standards set out in the Formal Project Requirements, it will not be sent to the review panel. If the panel decides a project is unsatisfactory, specific instructions will be given to assist with a re-submission.
No, however it is preferred that the supervisor’s evaluation report is completed by a Fellow of the College as they are more involved in the requirements.
Yes. Please refer to the project requirements for specific details.
Unless being presented at the Felicity Hawker Medal session of the Annual Scientific Meeting, all projects must be presented prior to submission.
All projects are assessed by members of the Formal Project Panel. Each project is assessed individually by two reviewers from different states/territories. If they disagree on the assessment, it will go to the Formal Project Panel Chair for a final decision.
College Members can access a number of previously accepted Formal Projects from within the Members Portal.
Members will find a list of Formal Projects in the Education tab under the Resources section.
