Got a feeling that someone you know or care about isn’t behaving as they normally would? Perhaps they seem out of sorts? More agitated or withdrawn? Or just not themselves. Trust that gut instinct and act on it.
R U OK? Day (and everyday) is a fantastic opportunity to start a conversation and comment on the changes you’ve noticed, you could help that family member, friend or workmate open up. If they say they're not OK, you can follow conversation steps to show them they’re supported and help them find strategies to better manage the load. If they are, that person will know you’re someone who cares enough to ask.
The College marked the day on 14 September, with a lovely staff lunch, providing a great opportunity to check in on our team mates.
We’d also like to remind our staff, Fellows, trainees and SIMGs about the services we provide to help support their health and wellbeing. This includes access to our Welfare resources, and to our Member Assistance program – Converge International.
