The College is seeking expressions of interest from Fellows who completed the Overseas Trained Specialist pathway (OTS)/Specialist International Medical Graduate pathway (SIMG) within the last 10-years to fill a vacant position on the SIMG Committee.
The SIMG Committee oversees and conducts the assessment process of medical practitioners who have satisfied all the training and examination requirements in their field of specialty in another country and who are applying for specialist registration in Australia. The SIMG assessment determines if an applicant's qualifications, training, and experience in intensive care medicine is substantially comparable, partially comparable or non-comparable to that of a recently graduated fellow of the College.
The Committee meets roughly 4-6 times per year following a period of interviews of suitable applicants.
Should you wish to express interest in joining the SIMG Committee, please complete the following form.
